Advancement

Advancement Principles

  • Advancement encourages the ideals of Scouting.
  • Personal growth is the prime consideration in the program. Scouts learn by doing. And they progress and their individual rates.
  • A badge earned is a recognition of what a Scout is able to do, not just a reward for what he has done and never an award for trying to do something.
  • The parent or guardians role is never to carry the Scout, but rather to monitor, motivate and support the Scout.
