Troop 73 Boy Scouts Luke Gibbons, Jason Isbit and Thomas “T.J.” O’Neill have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts’ highest honor.

To earn the Eagle Award, a Scout must be active with a troop, earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, assume a position of leadership in a troop and complete a service project that benefits his community.

For his project, Luke, a freshman at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland, renovated a two-room nurse’s station at Holy Trinity Interparochial School in Westfield.

Jason renovated the dressing room at the Westfield Community Players Theater. He is enrolled at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

T.J., a student at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, made landscaping improvements to Paul Robeson Park in Westfield.

Luke, Jason and T.J. are June graduates of Westfield High School. They were honored at an Eagle Court of Honor held this summer at Holy Trinity Parish Center in Westfield.
